After earning a Bachelor of Arts in English and literature through the University of Kansas and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Oklahoma City University School of Law, Mr. Cannon began in the field as an assistant district attorney for the Garfield County District Attorney’s Office and as an assistant public defender for the Office of the Public Defender for Oklahoma County. Over the years, he also gained valuable expertise in the field as an assistant attorney general for the State of Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General.
Drawing on his professional excellence, Mr. Cannon presently serves as a judge advocate for the Oklahoma Army National Guard and as the owner of the eponymous Cannon & Associates Law Firm. In this capacity, he specializes in family and criminal defense law, personal injury matters and military-related cases. Licensed to practice through the Oklahoma Bar Association, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma and the Supreme Court of the United States, Mr. Cannon remains aligned with a national legal fraternity.
Dedicated to those less fortunate, Mr. Cannon serves as a board member for Citizens Care for Children and as a volunteer with Lawyers Helping Heroes. Well regarded for his expertise, he has also been honored as a Super Lawyer since 2019 and with recognition through Martindale-Hubbell. Among his other career highlights, he is also proud to have opened his firm in 2018.
