How Much Will my Divorce Cost Me?

The simplest answer is divorces cost as much as the parties make it cost.
It is our goal to resolve each client’s divorce case by achieving the best possible outcome for the client, while minimizing your expense in litigation. Unfortunately, sometimes these interests conflict. In contested divorce litigation, the process may last for months or even over a year. The cost of your divorce is directly related to how contentious or difficult it is for the parties to reach a settlement or resolution in divorce. The most expensive divorces will include some or all of the following: discovery, mediation, temporary orders hearings, other contested hearings, and/or trial over the divorce.
We handle all family law and divorce client matters on a retainer basis. You will deposit an initial retainer into the firm’s trust account and those funds will remain your money until expenses or billable time is performed in your family law matter. We provide detailed billing statements each month and you are always welcome to contact our Accounts Manager and find out your current trust account balance and Work-in-Progress or unbilled time in your case.
The hourly fees for our administrative staff, paralegals, and divorce attorneys are within the norms of the greater Oklahoma City market and based on the years and level of experience for each member of our family law team. Our retainer agreement reflects the hourly rate of every person that may perform work on your case. Hiring the right divorce attorney is an investment in your future. We are not the cheapest divorce law firm in Oklahoma, nor are we the most expensive. We want complete transparency in our billing and know how much every dollar means to you and your family.
I understand your concerns about costs and that you want to be able to hire and afford the divorce law firm you want to work with, not only the one you think you can afford. That is why we have financing and payment plans available for clients that want or need those options. We are constantly striving to improve our systems to maximize efficiency, minimize your costs, all while providing you the highest level of service. We provide you with direct access to your file through our Client Portal, which reduces your expenses of billable hours, while increasing your access to information.
